How to configure an email account on the Apple iOS

These settings have been tested and verified for the Apple iOS.

POP Setup
  • Click on the Home button
  • Go to Settings
  • Click on Mail, Contacts, Calendars
  • Click Add Account...
  • Choose Other
  • Click Add Mail Account
  • Enter your Name, Email Address, Password and Description of the profile
  • Click Next
  • Click POP
Incoming mail server
  • Host Name: [Mail server domain name]
  • User Name: enter the full email address of the pop account you are accessing
  • Password: enter the password for that pop account
Outgoing mail server (SMTP)
  • Host Name: [Mail server domain name]
  • User Name: enter the full email address of the pop account you are accessing
  • Password: enter the password for the pop account
Click Next

You will receive a "Cannot Connect Using SSL" "Do you want to try setting up the account without SSL?" message.
  • Click Yes
Go to Settings and click on the POP account you have just created
Scroll down and select Advanced
Scroll down until you see Settings and insure that Authentication is set to "Password"

IMAP Setup
  • Click on the Home button
  • Go to Settings
  • Click on Mail, Contacts, Calendars
  • Click Add Account...
  • Choose Other
  • Click Add Mail Account
  • Enter your name, email address, password and description of the profile
  • Click Next
  • Select IMAP
Incoming mail server
  • Host Name: [Mail server domain name]
  • User Name: enter the full email address of the pop account you are accessing
  • Password: enter the password for that pop account
Outgoing mail server (SMTP)
  • Host Name: [Mail server domain name]
  • User Name: enter the full email address of the pop account you are accessing
  • Password: enter the password for the pop account
Click Next

You will receive a "Cannot Connect Using SSL" "Do you want to try setting up the account without SSL?" message.
  • Click Yes
  • Then Click Save
Go to Settings and click on the IMAP account you have just created
Scroll down and select Advanced
Scroll down until you see Settings and insure that Authentication is set to "Password"

SMTP Authentication
  • Click on the Home button
  • Click on Settings
  • Click on Mail, Contacts, Calendars
  • Click on the email account you have just created
  • Click on Account
  • Scroll down and click on SMTP Under Outgoing Mail Server
  • Click on mail.YourHostedDomainName.com
  • Scroll down to Outgoing Mail Server
  • In Authentication choose "Password"
